HISTORY OF TCD

TCD Management was founded in 2010 as a music management firm, a sister company to a music blog called The Chicken Donut. After discovering, featuring, and interviewing artists for the blog, TCD Management was a natural next step and was formed help manage the artists’ business affairs. Over the next 4 years it provided services ranging from Booking, Public Relations, A&R, Business Development, Marketing, and more.

In 2020 the business was relaunched as TCD, a F&B technology consulting firm. Our mission is to empower businesses by giving them the right tools for the job. The Food and Beverage industry has a semi-standard suite of applications and systems used to run the business. Point of Sale, Inventory & Ordering Management, Accounting, Delivery, Loyalty, Reporting, E-Commerce, App. TCD specializes in this suite, and is hyper focused on delivering the best solutions for their customers, at a fraction of the time and cost that they would otherwise spend.

ADAM SMITH - FOUNDER

A native of Haverhill, MA, Adam discovered a love for entrepreneurship in college that evolved into managing and developing musicians, thriving as the operational glue in a collective of creatives. Before taking the full leap into business and entrepreneurship, Adam spent a year as a teacher and coach at a private boarding school in Massachusetts. His passion for educating, mentoring, and helping others serve him well in his role as a consultant. 

For six years Adam served as the Chief Technology Officer for Juice Press, a vertically integrated organic food and beverage company, as they grew from 10 to 85 corporately-owned stores and three production facilities across the US. This opportunity was an incredible experience and put Adam at the forefront of an industry, working side by side with very savvy business people, in one of the world’s premier markets. His first role at the company was as a minimum wage bike delivery messenger.

Adam gets excited about helping businesses optimize their processes in order to maximize profit. His calm, assuring demeanor always brings order to chaos.

Adam graduated from the University of Virginia with a degree in Classics and Linguistics. 

 
 

KRISTY WADA - SENIOR CONSULTANT

Born and raised in Queens, New York, the food capital of ethnic cuisine, Kristy found her passion for food and business by chance. She attended Graduate School at Hunter College for Childhood Education when her life took a turn, mid semester. In 2014, casually helping a friend vend at an empanadas stand during a concert series, she learned operations came naturally to her and was offered a position to manage a food kiosk in Times Square that same day. Her career in F&B operations took off from there.

Kristy was the Retail Manager for 3 years at Nuchas; growing the business from a truck and kiosks, to pushcarts and large concert events in the Tri-State area. She diversified her experience entering an elevated cafe concept at Dr Smood. She spent the better part of 5 years as District Manager, developing and implementing systems and teams to create structure in her cafes, which had optimal performance and continuous growth, even through the pandemic.

Kristy's discipline, versatility, and kind heart have been the recipe for creating positive and effective work environments. Her hands-on approach to management has given her the perfect insight to understanding all aspects of the food business, starting where it matters most. 8 years later, her passion lies in operations and she thrives on helping others succeed.
